Re: Battlestar, not only...That sounds pretty cool.

Re: Battlestar, not only do I know, I love it and own it! It's so hard to get a group of committed players together, but I adore Battlestar. The great thing about the traiter mechanic too is that you can't always be sure there even is a traitor. When this happens, accidents can become tension-filled moments of self-doubt. It asks players to create their own level of vulnerability, which is amazing.

But, as you say, it's rare and hard to pull off.Jorge Alborhttp://twitter.com/JAlbornoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3967694277763110629.post-67080818772812133502013-02-17T12:14:06.112-08:002013-02-17T12:14:06.112-08:00Thinking about this I'm actually reminded of a...Thinking about this I'm actually reminded of a moment I hear about in one of the Kane and Lynch games, where in multiplayer across consoles both players see different things (one has schizophrenia I believe).

This is also, a slightly different thing but there is a board game called 'battleship galactica' I believe Which is a co-operative game, but one of the players is actually a mole trying to sabotage the game. It's not horror as such, but it does create tension, but because they need to trick you into thinking they are on your side, they do have to help somewhat too. (I think it's 5 players, goes a long time, but kind of needs that)

Ever since hearing about that kind of thing I've always really wanted some kind of short horror video game experience that mirrors that kind of thing, bringing up that tension because you can't quite trust your allies, but also, absolutely have to.

I think though... for something like this to work best... you almost need something like Journey but horror based. And I'm not sure how you'd avoid people just ruining it by constantly revealing early...Rowan Idris Carmichaelhttp://www.facebook.com/link6616noreply@blogger.com
