EXP Podcast: E3 2012, Day 0

California is big and brown and has very little 3G/4G wireless coverage in its middle. Regardless, Jorge and I have made it safely down to Los Angeles for E3 2012 while still managing to catch the all-important press conferences for Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony. Join us while we discuss each conferences larger themes and our first impressions about what E3 has to offer. If you caught the streamed conferences yourself, let us know your thoughts on the show thus far in the comments below.

  1. Really enjoyable podcast. I don't recall you guys talking about possibly disappointment in the vita's lack of presence, What were your thoughts on that (and knowing my luck will be the first thing in the next podcast)

  2. I'm glad you bring that up, because both the Vita and the 3DS were very quiet, in terms of attention at the press conferences and floor presence. It seems like dedicated handhelds are in a weird position these days.

  3. They really are in a strange spot. Which is kind of sad because despite most of the games I play on them not really being all that specific to the formats it just so happens the kind of games I tend to most want to play come out on them...

But, hopefully the future is bright for both. I see so much potential in each, the 3DS allowing so many developers to stay with PS2 era visuals (hello monster hunter) and the vita just being... Well it's a wonderful piece of kit with very little on it if you dislike uncharted.
